This generation of employees is looking for something different than workers in the past. They want the freedom to choose a space that fits their needs. The Humane Society of the United States wanted to create a space that supported this freedom and was conducive to employees bringing their pets to work with them. An initiative such as this required careful planning and most importantly, a space that could visually and functionally accommodate numerous animals being in the office throughout the workday. But once it was achieved, it provided employees with an even greater benefit; a work area the provided functionality, flexibility and comfort for both them and their pet.
