Diane Coles Levine and Rodney Stone gave a thought provoking talk about Future Proofing Your Workplace to members of the International Facilities Managers Association San Fernando Valley Chapter at United Interiors last Wednesday. The presentation explored ideas and solutions to planning for facilities for the future. Two questions were proposed help plan for AI, Workplace Robots, Construction Drones and Driverless cars. “What if?” and “So What?” Topics solutions where discussed and two case studies presented showing real world problem solving. IoT security and planning for alternative space use where also explored. 2030 is only 13 years away but many of the attendees left ready to tackle the big issues with real solutions.
