It was a very exciting evening, and the Haworth showroom was invitingly set up for company! The catered eats and wine bar were packed before and after the sold-out event. 100 IIDA members and guests filled the space to hear our very special guests show and tell us about their unique perspectives. It was so interesting to learn how television “sets” are conceived, from initial illustrations to fully constructed, furnished and decorated spaces that the narrative of the American Horror Story’s show are played out. We learned how Bottega Louie, the highly curated, iconic restaurant and bakery’s tightly branded packaging, decor, and product presentations are developed to communicate its own sense of place. Architect Joseph Coriaty gave us an insiders view of his creative process and discussed how LA itself informs his work.
Our moderator ensured that each presenter had just the right amount of time to speak, posed interesting questions and made the presentation portion of the evening flow smoothly.
