Kimball Office at Chicago 2016
Not too long ago, office space was clearly defined. And everything had its place. Walled off little cubicles were for work. Conference rooms were for meetings. And comfy couches and sitting areas were reserved for visitors.
Then along came technology and the arrival of young, tech-savvy employees who had a different idea of how and where they wanted to work.
So what would office space look like and how would it function if employees decided where work should take place, instead of the space deciding where they should work?
Kimball Office answered that question at Chicago 2016 with Kimball Office: You Are Here.
With Kimball Office, here is now a place where technology is infused into the design from the beginning instead of being added on at the end. Here is a place where the environment doesn’t dictate what gets done where. But instead gives employees plenty of different options and lets them decide for themselves. Here has taken that once revered idea of what an office should look like and how it should function and turned it on its head.
Here is a space that could be found in our Chicago showroom during Chicago 2016. And thanks to our partnership with ShareDesk and the imagination of forward thinking designers like Primo Orpilla of Studio O+A, Pam Light and John Duffy of pl-D and Daniel Korb of xchange Design it’s a space that could be coming to your location soon. Kimball Office. You are here. If not, you should be.
