The Kimball Office Chicago showroom will, again, be designed by Studio O+A, the award-winning San Francisco-based design firm that designed the showroom last year. The refreshed and renewed design will build upon the strides made in 2014 and will be revealed during NeoCon 2015, North America’s largest and most important exposition and conference for the commercial interiors industry.
“Last year’s response to the Kimball Office Chicago showroom design, in partnership with Studio O+A, helped bring record attendance to our space during the NeoCon show. Studio O+A is widely considered a global design leader in workplace strategy and their Bay Area influence brings fresh perspective on the latest in fashion and materiality,” said Mike Wagner, President, Kimball Office. “It generated an unprecedented amount of excitement in and around our brand, and this year’s design will push the envelope even further.”
Silicon Valley’s Studio O+A is known for bringing their sophisticated and urban aesthetic to companies across the United States, such as Uber, Microsoft, Yelp!, Cisco, and Reputation.com. Co-founded by the award-winning duo of Primo Orpilla and Verda Alexander, Studio O+A has been the recipient of a multitude of national and international honors, awards, and recognitions. In 2011, Contract magazine named Orpilla and Alexander as its Designers of the Year, and, in 2014, two of O+A’s projects—Yelp! and Giant Pixel—were chosen by Fast Company to be among The 10 Coolest Office Spaces of 2014.
