Welcome to the IIDA + ArtReach Community Paint Day! Join us for a day filled with creativity and community spirit. This in-person event will be held at the San Diego Rescue Mission where participants will paint a mural as a group guided by an ArtReach artist. All ages and artistic abilities are welcome! We will have all the painting materials needed, including t-shirt smocks and aprons. We do encourage you to wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on since paint can stain clothing. Please wear closed-toed shoes and we encourage bringing a hat, sunglasses and a water bottle. There will be sunscreen and water available. There are two time slots available (10 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.) with an hour lunch break in between. There will be street parking available and there is off-street parking available at the SDRM parking garage on 1st and Elm. The parking code to enter this lot will be shared upon registration.
If you are interested in making a monetary donation to support the remodel of SDRM’s outdoor playground, please visit our GoFundMe page at https://gofund.me/07aecf8b.
We can’t wait to paint together and see the transformation of this space come to life!
