Kimball held their first ever “Tech Hack” furniture industry. Bringing together “hackers” and tasking them to come up with “smart” ways to solve their deepest frustration in the workplace. To get them started we asked “How can the workplace, including but not exclusive to the furniture, and technology improve comfort, or wellness? Or simply be so cool- that everyone wants to go to, or stay at work? How can you make technology in the workplace so easy, that even a CEO can use it?” The hackers spent all day coming up with their ideas and then presented them to a team of judges from Kimball, Globant and Metropolis Magazine. Selecting a first, second and third place winning team. The ideas, along with the technology the teams proposed to implement the ideas were amazingly cool! How do you design the future or what are your furniture tech hacks?
