Free Arts’ core programs, restoring hope, resiliency and self-esteem in at-risk children throughout Los Angeles. The children we serve struggle with poverty, homelessness, abuse and neglect daily. Through no fault of their own, they are at high risk for drug abuse, mental illness, teen pregnancy, school failure and engaging in abusive relationships as adults. We know that art can make a marked difference for these children, helping them feel safe and valued, giving them an outlet for their feelings, and restoring their sense of hope and empowerment.
