Wellbeing at work is a growing challenge for companies struggling with an unpredictable economic environment and in that perspective, more and more become dependent on their employees’ willingness to go the extra mile. Encouraging ‘wellbeing at work’ by developing active elements in this area positively impacts employee engagement and eventually companies performance.

This CEU will focus on simple and fundamental amenities companies can integrate for human health wellness and wellbeing in the office environment. Discussion will center around suggestions, cautions and best practices to consider when planning and designing for the positive benefits of the occupiers.

Learning Objectives:
Understand the drivers of the popular current focus on wellness and wellbeing.
Recognize the importance and fundamentals of Wellness and Well-Being (environment + appreciation + emotion).

Develop an appreciation for the way humans can best interact in their work environments.

Harness the built environment (the basis of Well Building and other standards).as a vehicle to support human health and well-being.

This course is approved through IDCEC for credit with IIDA, ASID and IDC While some AIA members can self-report this course for credit, this is not always effective as some state licensing boards may not accept the credit for licensure.
