If you attended this year’s NeoCon in June, I’m willing to bet there’s a good chance you didn’t venture outside the Merchandise Mart during conference hours. However, if one would’ve simply headed outside the doors and across the street, you would’ve found a unique collaboration featured throughout Kimball’s Chicago showroom.

Having an appreciation for makers and their work, the office furniture company collaborated with Hennepin Made and AVO, two studios that helped provide the details that made the two-story space come alive. Based in Minneapolis, Minn., Hennepin Made is a glassmaker whose lighting was featured in select areas throughout Kimball’s space.

Jackson Schwartz and Joe Limpert founded Hennepin Made in 2011, when they partnered with the common belief that handmade products have an essential place in our culture and everyday life. The two create lighting and other modern glass designs for retailers and designers.

Learn more about their studio and its journey in the latest installment to Interiors+Source Maker Monday series below.
